Mid-vacation review

We've sadly reached the midpoint of our long-awaited and much deserved vacation. We've been having a great time at Pawley's Island and it's hard to believe we'll be heading home in less than three days!

So far there has been a great deal of relaxing...


A lot of playing...


A decent amount of beachin' it...




Even more relaxing...


Some people watching at the beach...


We've had some good conversations...


We've done some light reading...


There have been more than enough wet clothes left to dry...



And though almost all of us in the house have at least had a bit of a cold, we've had a doctor in the house...


Today the children decided they were a bit bored with the beach, so we instantly created a new swimming space that was a big hit.


And best of all, at night the adults have all been able to retire to our own rooms, without sharing with our children. Somehow we have managed to get our children to successfully share a room with a friend. Hallelujah! The babies (both 15 months-ish) are in their room (an upright mattress keeps them mostly out of each other's sight, but they can still see enough to know the other one is there -- and yes, in that room we had to disobey the "do not move the furniture" rule):


And the big kids (both age 3) have done great sharing their room (aside from the first night when they stayed up until nearly 11!):


It has been a great vacation full of all the things that vacation should be...rest, relaxation, laughter, good food and good times. I hope we can make the most of our final few days here!
