The Hunley Museum is on the old Naval base, in a very industrial area that is a bit hard to find. It's a strange area, for sure. The museum itself is a large warehouse with a few exhibits in it. The actual Hunley is in another area, kept in water. We were able to tour in there, but because of a contract with National Geographic, photos are not allowed. It was very interesting though, and I still am in awe that eight tall men (this is what the facial reconstruction artists think they looked like) fit in that one tiny sub!

But the thing I think he enjoyed the most was standing in the rain when it was time to go!
Trey had drill on the Saturday we went, so his cousins and sister graciously came to watch Parker while I took Thomas. I love having both boys, but it was nice to have the opportunity to do something with just one of them at a time! I always love a chance to have a little one-on-one time with my boys. So thanks Mary Reames, Bear and Beth for making that possible!
