Strange food cravings for a picky eater

Thomas is a picky eater and he doesn't eat many different fruits and vegetables. But sometimes he will eat the strangest things and enjoy them quite a lot. One of his current favorites is hummus. He likes plain hummus and he likes it best if I put it on a whole wheat hot dog bun. Yeah, I don't know what that is all about, but both things are good for him, so I indulge him in this "treat." It's still funny to hear your 2-year old say, "I want some hummus! I a hot dog bun with hummus on it! More hummus, please!"

He also likes frozen vegetables. Some nights he won't eat them once they are cooked, but they will eat them frozen. Last night I was fixing lima beans and he asked for some in a bowl (frozen). I gave him some, but after watching him give a few to Sully, when he came back for seconds I told him I would only give him some if he kept them away from Sully. So next thing I knew I found him, eating his frozen limas in the hallway next to the laundry (on top of the dirty laundry). Funny little fellow:

I guess as long as he is eating something remotely healthy, I shouldn't complain! (And please excuse the atrractive clothing pile, I was in the middle of doing laundry!)
