It must have been a good day/weekend around here. It started with dinner with friends on Friday night. Then Saturday morning both boys had games at 9 am (Parker plays t-ball and Thomas plays coach-pitch baseball). Nannie and Papa came to watch, and then afterwards they took the boys home with them for the night.
Trey and I spent the day running errands and then rushed home to get ready for the wedding and 30th birthday party we had to attend that night. Oh and Trey's parents came into town for the wedding around lunch and stayed with us for the night. It was a busy day...and meanwhile the boys were having fun playing in the lake at Nannie and Papa's house.
On Sunday, after waking up and baking a cake, we hit the road to have brunch with my parents and Andrew and his family. That was delicious (The Barony House NEVER disappoints!), and soon after, we packed up the boys and headed back to James Island. We weren't heading home, but to Trey's cousin's house nearby where we met his parents, sister, cousins and aunt and uncle for a fantastic Lowcountry boil. Yum! After some time hanging out and "fishing"on the dock, we returned home. The boys played outside until their dinner was ready and before long it was bedtime.
Trey and Thomas read a book to Parker and at some point between the story and prayers, something happened that has never happened before. Parker completely zoned out and fell asleep.
I think it was a good sign of a much enjoyed weekend!
