Knowing this is probably our last baby, I'm pretty sad about how quickly the time is passing! So far, Parker has been a really good baby. He tends to get a bit fussy during the ever popular and well-known "witching hour" of the early evening, but for the most part, he is very easy going. He still sleeps a great deal and though his night wakings have been a little closer lately (except last night when he slept from 8:30 until 4:30!), he at least goes to bed rather easily (most nights) if he is tired. Of course tonight was a strange night for him, but most nights if he's tired I can put him down awake and he gets himself to sleep without a fuss. This was never the case with our rock-to-sleep-every-night Thomas, but then again, we vowed to not let Parker really know that was an option. Poor second child...
He's often serious and studying the world around him. Sometimes he'll crack a smile. I hardly ever can catch it on camera though. Here's a half smile...
And sometimes he puts up a little fuss...
But most of the time he's just a very laid back baby...
And his brother doesn't like to give him a moment to himself. The whole time I was taking Parker's picture, Thomas was trying his best to get on the chair too. I promised him if he'd wait that I'd let him up and take his picture too. Poor Parker...always has to share. Hey...there's that elusive smile!
Of course Thomas only wanted to steal his bear (and Parker was none to happy about that one!)...
He tolerates his brother, for the most part. And his brother tries (a little too hard sometimes) to make him happy. But he tries...
And as you can probably tell, he's a BIG baby. I pulled out his hand-me-down 6 month clothing the other day. I can't believe it! He's pretty much getting too long for his 3 month stuff and quickly growing into the larger things. He weighed nearly 13 pounds at six weeks, so I'm eager to see his weight at his 2 month well baby visit on Monday. He's also already in size 2 diapers and has been for about two weeks.
Not much else to report on a two month old. :) He tolerates his baths with little to no fuss, he sleeps well in his carseat when necessary and he loves to give his Daddy great big smiles.
And speaking of baths, here's our big baby boy...
(I decided to save him from future ribbing and cover him up! No future girlfriends need to see that!)
Like his brother, he loves his little play mat. Of course he rarely gets any time on there by himself, but sometimes we sneak some time when Thomas isn't looking...
And that's Parker at two months! Hopefully things can just slow down a little for these next two months?!?
