A rainbow of eggs

I'm a little late in sharing this, but we managed to find time to dye Easter eggs a few days before Easter.  The boys joined their neighborhood friends for the fun.  I realized as soon as we got there that I should have dressed Parker in a shirt that was not one of his good smocked ones, and one that was not white.  No worries, I just took it off of him, but it makes him look a little silly in these pictures.

Jack & Thomas discussed the finer points of egg dyeing...

Parker was obsessed with his one egg.  He just kept putting in the dye over and over and over again.  "Red one!  Red one!" he yelled over and over.

He dropped it on the floor and it cracked, but he insisted on getting it back.  So he picked at it a little before throwing it back in the dye.

He was quite proud of himself.

In the end, we had some beautiful eggs...

Notice Parker's cracked, over-dyed egg behind the one with Thomas' name on it.  Funny.

And Thomas even ended up eating a few of them.  He decided he didn't like the "yellow part," but he loved the white part.  Go figure.  Our picky eater sometimes still manages to surprise me!
