(These pictures were taken tonight after dinner. He has no shirt on because he was trying to use a big boy cup to drink water and it was going fine until he got to the last sip!)
Thomas's first haircut is scheduled for the morning. However, because of his illness, I haven't 100% decided if we might reschedule. He was doing fine today, but tonight made me reconsider a bit. We'll see how it goes this evening and I'll decide in the morning.
The rest of this entry might not be for the squeamish. It's probably way more information than anyone wants to know, but in the end it was kind of humorous and I wanted to remember it for some odd reason.
Thomas seems to be doing better. After a quiet night, he coughed a good bit today (so much that he wasn't able to nap) and his nose has been running. His cough, however, is more of a normal cold cough and not the croup seal bark he did have. Unfortunately though, as was the problem the other night, he does not know it's okay to cough up the "stuff" and he swallows it instead. His stomach does not like it when he does this. It's why he threw up on his Daddy Saturday night.
So tonight he ate really well...all his chicken, peas and veggie fries. He was not so interested in his milk and he wanted to stand up on me as I read his bedtime stories. At one point he looked at me with this complete look of worry on his face and seconds later he began to vomit...all down the front of me. As I was wearing a v-neck shirt, this was not pleasant at all (think on my shirt, inside my shirt...everywhere). And yet, I let him continue...and continue. When I thought he was finished I handed him off to his Daddy while I cleaned up and he threw up on him too. We finally got him to the bathroom where he proceeded to decorate the sink, counter and floor. Poor Thomas. And poor us. In the end, I had no choice but to laugh.
I'm guessing his medicine didn't make it tonight but we didn't want to risk an overdose. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...even if the curls go away.

I hate to admit that this has happened to me (more than once!) DuBose has the same gag reflex when it comes to coughing stuff up - it's never fun around here when he has a cold!
Hope Thomas feels better soon!
