It was a Merry Christmas, indeed

Twas two days before Christmas when Santa stopped by our house. He knew we'd be traveling and be out and about!

Thomas found his stack of gifts from Santa:

And quickly commenced to learning how to "rip, rip!" the paper!

He was happy to find Elmo in the box:

And an Elmo book too:

And then there was a big truck. Anything with wheels is always a hit around here!

There were more gifts too...mostly books, a few alphabet-learning toys, and a Magnadoodle. Thomas was happy with them all and gave Santa his seal of approval. :)

Later that day it was time to hit the road!

We arrived at Nannie & Papa's house that afternoon and Thomas's aunt and uncle stopped by for a visit that night. There were more presents to open and Thomas was up to the task (we opened some that night and Thomas finished his stack the next morning):

Nannie and Papa gave him several things, including this wonderful stack of books:

(that top one is his current favorite!)

He loved the truck and sweater (and other things) his California aunt, uncle and cousin sent (he insisted on putting on the sweater):

(in the background you can see our dog with her injured foot. She broke another nail in an most unlovely way and we had to keep her from messing with it somehow!)

Later on Christmas Eve we left to visit Thomas's other grandparents, Nana and Granddaddy. We arrived in time for church and Thomas was reasonably well behaved.

The next morning was Christmas and Thomas was delighted to find the gifts his Nana & Granddaddy gave him.

He loves his new train/car table:

And of course sometimes the simplest things bring the brightest smiles (with his Aunt B):

And playing with tissue paper is always fun:

Later that day his great aunt and uncle and cousins arrived and there were more presents to open. He mostly just wanted to sit on his table:

Then it was time to test out his new hat from his Aunt B:

Unfortunately I don't have more pictures of people other than Thomas, but here's our little family on Christmas evening:

And here is Thomas with his Nana & Granddaddy:

If I didn't mention the gifts specifically, or the names of the givers, please know if you read this it doesn't mean we aren't all very thankful for your kindness. Thanks to all of Thomas's family members for making this past Christmas a wonderful one for all of us. As a mother, I truly enjoy seeing the joys of Christmas through the innocent eyes of my son.

Hopefully this year I can make a new year's resolution to be a bit more timely with my blog entries. :)
