Last Friday was a beautiful day, so after Parker's morning nap, I took the boys and we ventured down to Marion Square for the annual
Southeastern Wildlife Expo. That's where the things are for kids and most of them are free. I forgot my ATM card and had no cash on hand (aside from $2 in quarters leftover from feeding the meter), so there was no pony ride this year. Thomas did get to go in the little jump castle, but tired of that rather quickly. That was a well spent $2. Ha. This was the boys on the way out (I promise Thomas enjoyed it!):

THere were lots of animals to see like baboons, goats, llamas, camels, cows, alpacas and sheep, like these:

The proper name of this animal escapes me at the moment:

The camel wanted a closer look:

Parker appeared slightly underwhelmed...

We checked out the birds of prey:

And Thomas was so excited when he saw this and couldn't wait to put his head in it. Not sure I'm in love with the picture it creates!

We had a picnic lunch on some nearby Charleston benches, and then we went back home for naptime. It was a lovely little adventure!
